Many, many methods had been developed over the years to help addicts in the process of getting clean and staying clean. If you are a person who has had his or her life kidnapped by drugs and have found freedom using some of these methods, I say thank you for letting me join you. It matters not what methods we use to stay drug free. The important thing is that we do. Each of us who has survived the insanity is one less problem for society and one more person with an answer for the people who are still kidnapped. Drugs don’t just kidnap the user; they take the whole family hostage.

Drugs have become a plague in our society and worldwide. Families stand by helplessly as their loved ones are devoured by this culture. The money spent on drugs by one addict, in one day, could probably feed a whole family in some countries for a month or longer. The wasted money is just a small part of the devastation caused by drugs. The chaos those drugs create within a family has no limits, even to the point of murder, physically and mentally! All of us who have escaped should understand what the word “gratitude” means. I have been blessed with a drug-free life for several years now, and I am also surrounded by many, many exceptional people who have helped me stay this way.

My only purpose for Sanity 365 is that in some way it may give you an extra little lift at some point during your day, reminding you that the war is over and you survived it! We all know people who are still fighting, though. Seek help for yourself, because your own sanity will continue to be tested.
